Cecil Christensen, MD, PA


Dr. Christensen is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements. Dr. Christensen completed his orthopedic residency at Memorial Hermann - Texas Medical Center, formerly Hermann Hospital in affiliation with UT Health Science Center of Houston, Texas. He also completed a fellowship in specialty surgery of the hip in Manchester, England with John Charnley, world renowned surgeon and innovator of joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Christensen is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Orthopedics Association and the Harris County Medical Society.

A founding member of Park Plaza Hospital, Dr. Christensen currently serves as chairman of the board at the hospital and is a member of the executive medical and credentialing committees. He has been in private practice for the past thirty-five years.


Dr. William H. Hadnot III, MD


Dr. Hadnott was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Duke University in Durham, NC and went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He returned to his hometown to complete his internship and orthopedic residency at the UT Health Science Center of San Antonio.

Dr. Hadnott is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association, the National Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the the Houston Medical Forum.
Dr. Hadnott focuses mainly on treating general orthopedic concerns, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and fractures. He also has a special interest in joint replacement surgery and treating sports related injuries. His primary goal is to provide high quality orthopedic care to his patients and understands that spending time with his patients and giving them the attention they need helps achieve better outcomes.


Jonathan G. Lee, MD


Dr. Lee specializes in total joint replacement, knee arthroscopy, and sports related injuries as well as general orthopedics. Born and raised in Texas, he has been in practice since 1989.

Dr. Lee is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Texas Orthopedic Association, Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Lee received his medical degree and completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Louisiana State University School Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed his fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine under the direction of Dr. Merrill Ritter at the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Indiana


Dr. Stephen Brown


Dr. Stephen Brown specialized in joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, trauma, fractures, as well as general orthopedics at Park Plaza Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of both the American Medical Association and Harris county medical Society.

Dr. Brown grew up in Houston and has many close ties here. He received his Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. Subsequently, he completed both his medical training and his orthopedic residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He then returned to his hometown of Houston where he has been in practice since 2002.


Howard B. Cotler, MD, FACS, FAAOS


Howard B. Cotler, MD, FACS, FAAOS is board certified and recertified in orthopaedic surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.

He received his medical degree in 1979 from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. In 1980, Dr. Cotler completed his surgical internship at Grady Memorial Hospital/Emory University in Atlanta. In 1984, he completed his orthopaedic residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Dr. Cotler subsequently pursued advanced training in spine through two fellowships: one in acute spinal cord injury surgery with Northwestern University in Chicago in 1984 and another in orthopaedic traumatology from Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington in Seattle in 1985.


Stephen I. Esses, M.D.


Stephen I. Esses, M.D. is an internationally recognized expert in the field of spinal disorders who has developed several new surgical techniques and implants for the treatment of spinal problems. As former medical assessor for the Canadian Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal, he maintains a special interest in workers' compensation injuries. Dr. Esses is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

He has lectured throughout the world and published numerous articles and book chapters on spine-related problems. Dr. Esses is author of "TEXTBOOK OF SPINAL DISORDERS" which is a standard reference for spinal medical personnel.
